Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons mustard (medium or sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 250 g basmati or jasmine rice
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
  2. Boil water in a pot, add rice and salt, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until cooked. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix honey, mustard, soy sauce, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate chicken strips for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan. Cook marinated chicken on medium heat for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve chicken over rice; garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
