Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 120 ml oil
  • 2 large apples (peeled and diced)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, and oil. Blend wet and dry ingredients until well mixed.
  3. Fold diced apples into the batter gently.
  4. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Layer one-third of the batter in the pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter followed by the rest of the cinnamon-sugar.
  5. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan and serving.
